High School Resource Room Teacher

DRS Yeshiva High School for Boys seeks a Full Time District Based Resource Room Teacher to join our exceptional school faculty in fostering a culture of academic exploration and excellence and dedication to spiritual, intellectual, and personal growth of all students.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with learning differences in a supportive, resource-room setting.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.

• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed.

• Tailor instruction and interventions to meet the unique learning needs of individual students.

• Attend district meetings as needed and ensure compliance with all district and state guidelines for special education services.

• Administer testing for student reevaluation

• Participate in DRS staff meetings and professional development opportunities as part of the school community.

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education or a related field.

• Experience working in a resource room or special education setting, preferably at the high school level.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and district personnel.

• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a yeshiva or religious school setting.

• Knowledge of learning disabilities, ADHD, and other challenges that may impact student performance.
