Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks students who are energetic, familiar with college programs, and interested in working with faculty, staff and students to assist with Welcome Week activities.
Responsibilities include:
* answering new student questions
* facilitating small group discussions and recreational activities
* referring students to appropriate faculty and staff
* working with students/families/friends to help them become comfortable at SUNY Delhi
* assisting with Welcome Weekend programs, information sessions, entertainment programs
* Serve as a positive role model throughout the period of obligation.
* connecting with new students through email and by attending college events through the first three weeks of the semester.
Requirements:
* Have and maintain an overall 2.25 or higher gpa
* Be in good judicial standing with the College.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Familiarity with college programs
* The ability to work well with faculty, staff and students, and
* Have a sense of humor and stamina!
Additional Information:
Compensation:
* Students will receive a stipend of $1,200 for working as Orientation Leaders, which is paid over the course of obligation. A stipend of $600 will be submitted at the conclusion of Welcome Week. The remaining $600 will be paid after the conclusion of the obligation period.
