Building Substitute Teachers

The Pittsford Central School District is seeking building substitute teachers for the  school year for secondary and elementary levels. As a substitute teacher, your job duties may include, but are not limited to, following the plans created by the classroom teacher, working collaboratively with other adults that may be present in the room, monitoring student behavior and fostering a safe, positive, affirming, and welcoming learning environment.

Secondary schedule is as follows:

  Mendon High School, Grades: 9-12, School Day: 7:40am - 2:21pm
• Location:
  
  Sutherland High School, Grades: 9-12, School Day: 7:40am - 2:21pm
• Location:
  
  Barker Road Middle School, Grades: 6-8, School Day: 7:35am - 2:24pm
• Location:
  
  Calkins Road Middle School, Grades: 6-8, School Day: 7:35am - 2:24pm

Elementary schedule is as follows:

  Allen Creek Elementary, Grades: K-5, School Day: 8:30am-3:05pm
• Location:
  
  Jefferson Road Elementary, Grades: K-5, School Day: 8:30am-3:05pm
• Location:
  
  Mendon Center Elementary, Grades: K-5, School Day: 8:30am-3:05pm
• Location:
  
  Park Road Elementary, Grades: K-5, School Day: 8:30am-3:05pm
• Location:
  
  Thornell Road Elementary, Grades: K-5, School Day: 8:30am-3:05pm

Your work schedule may vary depending on the assignment, but the school day consists of the times outlined above. As a substitute, you will work in one of the above designated buildings based on your qualifications and potential preference. There is a regular, ongoing need for both half and full-day substitutes.
