Short Term Substitute Teacher, Intermediate School

Provide direct instruction to all students.

Qualifications:

• Hold valid New York State School teaching certificate or requisite hours per NY state guidelines
• Flexibility to meet the needs of a range of student learners
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of staff
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Responsibilities:

• Ability to follow plans provided
• Ability to plan lessons as needed
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies
• Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed
• Ability to organize and coordinate work
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parent(s) guardian(s)
• Ability to engage culturally diverse students
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Terms of Employment:
The position of Substitute Teacher can be per diem, short term, long term or ten-month position.

Reports to:

Building Principal Salary: $225 per day
