Rondout Valley Central School District anticipates the need for multiple,district-wideNYS Certified Teaching Assistants.
Ideal candidates are versatile and able to work in general education and special class settings. Teaching assistants support academic instruction, run small group learning centers, and support student needs. Willingness to learn, collaborate with a team, and have fun are essential qualities.
Qualifications:- Current NYS Teaching Assistant Certification
- Therapeutic Crisis Interventions (TCI). Verbal and physical de-escalation, which includes a written, verbal, and physical component test.
- SEDFingerprint Clearance
Per Contract
General Responsibilities:- Supporting student learning and social-emotional development
- Redirecting behavior
- Providing services to a studenton a one-to-one basis and/or assisting the classroom teacher in reinforcing instruction
- Monitoring/supervising students during lunch and recess
- Toileting
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
Monday–Friday, 7:25am - 2:35pm (secondary) or 8:30am - 3:40pm (elementary)
