The district is situated between the beautiful Letchworth and Stony Brook State parks. There are two campuses; the Dalton Campus has one elementary (grades Prek-4), and the Nunda Campus has one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).

Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher for the upcoming  school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive environment and contributing to the overall academic and social-emotional success of our students. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school leaders to develop comprehensive plans and strategies that enhance students' academic performance and social-emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Meet the needs of students with special needs, in academics and interpersonal skills; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students' specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
• Participates in SSTs and assists in developing Individual Educational Plans ("IEP") for students.
• Assists students and teaching staff in implementing students' IEP's and behavior management plans.
• Coordinates with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs.
• Serves as a ready resource to students and parents to provide support that will lead each student to increased personal growth; serves as liaison between home and school.
• Continues to acquire professional knowledge and to learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research, and by maintaining professional relationships.
• Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping.
• Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
