Special Education Science & Lab Teacher
? Avenue Y, Brooklyn, NY
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Special Education Science & Lab Teacher to work with high functioning ASD students in a supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hands-on science instruction, able to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs, and committed to helping students succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities- Teach science through interactive labs and experiments
- Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs and IEP goals
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with staff and families to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong science background and classroom management skills
- Teaching certification preferred
- Passion for hands-on, student-centered learning
Compensation
? $60–$100 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
