When students struggle, most schools lower the bar. You take the opposite approach.
You hold the conviction that young learners can achieve far beyond what conventional classrooms demand, and you have led teams that deliver this through quantifiable results. You understand that accountability, motivation, and elevated standards transform outcomes more effectively than any additional worksheet.
Alpha completes its academic work in a focused two-hour morning block using adaptive learning technology. This structure allows you to concentrate on what drives lasting impact: coaching students toward independent learning while cultivating the Guides who enable that transformation. You will be accountable for outcomes within a K-3 cohort, leveraging data, observation, and direct coaching to ensure every child develops a love of learning, progresses at twice the typical rate, and builds exceptional life skills.
This position is neither an instructional coaching role nor a principal role. Your days will not be consumed by meetings or administrative tasks. Instead, you will work directly in classrooms, evaluating both student and Guide performance, facilitating workshops on topics like focus, resilience, communication, and accountability, and coaching children and adults toward concrete improvement.
Your impact extends beyond your immediate cohort. You will capture successful practices, create playbooks that elevate standards school-wide, and contribute to how Alpha trains future Guides. If you are motivated by developing people, scaling what works, and demonstrating that exceptional results follow from high expectations, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Be Doing- Use performance data, classroom observation, and targeted feedback to coach Guides and students toward measurable improvement.
- Design and facilitate compelling workshops for K-3 students on life skills including focus, accountability, collaboration, resilience, and communication.
- Conduct one-on-one and small-group coaching that links student motivation with academic progress and self-directed learning.
- Develop and iterate on scalable coaching playbooks that elevate Guide team performance.
- Mentor and train Guides while consistently modeling exemplary coaching and facilitation practices.
- Teaching academic content through traditional instruction or lecture; core academics are delivered via adaptive technology.
- Relying on punitive discipline or reducing expectations in response to student difficulties.
- Working primarily from an office rather than engaging directly with students and Guides daily.
- Managing campus-level operations, budgets, or parent relations; your mandate is people development and outcome improvement.
- Adhering to standard elementary school methods simply because they represent established practice.
