As a substitute teacher, you will step into the classroom to maintain educational continuity, support student success, and foster a safe, positive learning environment when regular teachers are absent.

• Implement established lesson plans provided by the primary classroom teacher to ensure instruction continues smoothly.
• Manage student behavior effectively, applying positive reinforcement and following district classroom management guidelines.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying grade levels.
• Leave a detailed summary of daily accomplishments, student progress, and any behavioral notes for the returning classroom teacher.
• Adhere to all district policies, school guidelines, and New York State Education Department (NYSED) protocols.
