Job Summary:
Mercy University's School of Education Studies is looking for qualified adjunct faculty members who can teach foundational courses (e.g., Special Education, Leadership, Secondary Education,Early Childhood /Childhood Education, Literacy and/or TESOLprograms).
RequiredSkills & Experience:
- A teaching certificate from the relevant field
- Teaching experiences in K-12 schools
- Teaching experiences in Higher Education
- Experiences in online teaching and learning
- Willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds andneeds
- Collegiality with other faculty members
- Effectiveness in communication
- Skilled to prepare teacher candidates for working with students with diverse learning needs in a variety of settings
- A doctoral/M.S. degree from a relevant field (such as Early Childhood/Childhood Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, Literacy, TESOL, Secondary Education)
- A teaching certificate from the relevant field (e.g., SWD,Childhood Education, Social Studies)
- Preferred, but not mandatory: ability to teach on the Dobbs Ferry and Bronx campuses in person during the day
