Starting Date: Immediately

This is a per diem position.

To supervise and instruct students in the absence of a teacher to ensure the continuity of student learning and maintaining classroom order.

• Must have completed Student Teaching
  * AND have a recommendation from supervising teacher and/or student teacher advisor; OR
• Must have a Bachelor's degree**
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Dept. of Education.

* Substitutes who have completed their student teaching and are working towards certification(taking college coursework) at a rate of not less than six semester hours per year, may work unlimited days.

** Substitutes without a valid certification and who are not working towards certification can work a maximum of 40 days per school year.

Actual number of days permitted to work is dependent on current NYS Dept. of Education Guidelines.
