Health Paraprofessional

• Brooklyn (Flatbush and Crown Heights), NY

We are seeking dependable and caring health paraprofessionals to support students during the school day. The paraprofessional will work one-on-one with an assigned student and assist with the student’s health, safety, personal‑care, mobility, and daily school‑related needs.

• Providing continuous supervision and support to the assigned student
• Assisting with mobility, positioning, transfers, feeding, toileting, and other personal‑care needs, as applicable
• Following the student’s health, safety, and emergency protocols
• Accompanying the student throughout the school day, including in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, transportation areas, and other school settings
• Supporting the student’s participation in classroom and school activities
• Monitoring the student for changes in health or behavior and promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate school or agency personnel
• Maintaining professional communication with school staff, parents, and agency representatives
• Completing all required attendance records, documentation, and trainings
• Maintaining confidentiality and complying with all school, agency, and student privacy requirements

Candidates must be reliable, professional, patient, and comfortable working closely with children. Prior experience working with children or individuals with medical, developmental, or special needs is preferred. Candidates must also complete all required background checks, clearances, fingerprinting, medical documentation, and trainings before beginning employment.

The position is during school hours, and the exact schedule will depend on the student’s school placement.
