Are you interested in a career that makes a difference in the lives of students in your area? If so, Learn It Systems is looking for a part time Licensed School Counselor to work in our K-8 classrooms.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need.
ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a supervisor and educators. This team works with school districts to deliver the highest-quality education to students in a small group learning environment.
As an Academic School Counselor you will work on a one-on-one basis or in small groups providing classroom guidance and promoting student engagement and performance.
Academic School Counselors will be a part of a team that works with students who qualify for Title I assistance. Responsibilities include consulting and developing rapport with parents, classroom teachers, school principal and other school personnel on a regular basis. Working to keep an open line of communication available at all times and provide local resources to the school staff and parents as needed.
PAY: $35 - $40/hr
QualificationsIN PERSON
- School counseling licensure required or Social Worker
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred
- Experience working with Title I students a plus
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Work location is in a school building where employee will need to be able to go up and down stairs
- Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head
- Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer
