Teaching Assistant

The Briarcliff Manor SD is seeking an eager and highly qualified Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team of educators and fulfill our mission of inspiring and challenging students to realize their full potential academically, physically, socially and emotionally; prepare them to be successful in this global society.

Certification

Required:

New York State Level I, II or III Teaching Assistant Certification required

Certification Preferred:
New York State Teaching Certification

Salary: $26,650

Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate:

  • Committed to creating a student-centered, technology-infused learning experience
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty, students, and parents
  • Experience working with students
  • Exudes a joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability level

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support instruction (direct or indirect) to students.
  • Monitor and supervise students in his/her care.
  • Effectively communicate with classroom teacher and administration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
