• A teaching assistant provides instructional services to students under the general supervision of a licensed or certi
  fied teacher. Teaching assistants supervise students individually, in groups or in classrooms. Assist pupils in the use
  of available instructional resources, and assist in the development of instructional materials, assist students with
  computers and other technological devices, communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, administra
  tion and CSE chairperson, they handle routine non-teaching and clerical tasks as needed to provide instructional
  services, provide personal attention to students which may include tutoring, may correct and grade test, maintain
  files and records and assist with developing instructional materials. Teaching Assistants can be assigned to a class
  room as an assistant, as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant and or a Teaching Assistant for structured studies.

Hours:

6.5 hours per day; 180 day school year, including Superintendent Conference Days
and attend staff meetings

Salary: $17.25/hour
