The Port Washington Children's Center (PWCC) is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Teacher’s Assistant to join our Early Childhood Program
!

As a Teacher’s Assistant, you’ll work alongside our experienced teaching staff to create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. If you love working with children and want to be part of a team that makes a difference every day, we would love to hear from you!

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
• Help create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Build positive and nurturing relationships with children
• Assist with meals, rest time, transitions, and other classroom routines
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
• Prepare classroom materials and assist with activities
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
• Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers
• Follow all health, safety, and OCFS regulations and requirements

• Previous experience working with young children preferred
• Experience in an early childhood or preschool setting is a plus
• Familiarity with OCFS regulations
• A positive, patient, and nurturing attitude
• Dependable and responsible
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, active classroom environment
• A genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow
