At Queens Hebrew Academy, we are committed to fostering a rigorous, inclusive, and inquiry-based learning environment. We empower our students to think critically, engage in hands‑on scientific discovery, and develop the mindsets necessary to thrive in STEM disciplines and beyond. We are currently seeking a passionate, dynamic Science Teacher to join our collaborative academic team for the upcoming school year.

• Instruction & Curriculum: Deliver engaging, standards-aligned daily lessons in our Science classes, utilizing inquiry-based learning and interactive laboratory experiments.
• Student Engagement: Cultivate a safe, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student discourse, scientific questioning, and evidence-based argumentation.
• Assessment & Data Analysis: Utilize formative and summative assessments, tracking student performance data to tailor instruction and support diverse learning needs.
• Collaboration: Work alongside the STEM/Science department team to align curriculum, plan cross‑curricular projects, and participate in professional development.
• Community & Communication: Maintain positive lines of communication with students, parents, and administration regarding academic progress and lab safety.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Science discipline, STEM field, or Science Education (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Certification: State Certification (or eligibility for New York State certification reciprocity / transitional paths) in Science or Elementary Education.
• Experience: Prior student teaching or full-time secondary science classroom experience is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong digital literacy (familiarity with platforms like Google Classroom or similar LMS tools), excellent organizational skills, and a dedication to urban/diverse student achievement.
