The Department of Biology in the College of Science at Northeastern University-NYC is seeking a Full-time, Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor with a 10-month appointment to teach in the Undergraduate Biology Major in The College of Science in-person at the Northeastern University-New York City Campus.
Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesThis full-time position will include teaching three courses in Fall 2026 and three courses in Spring 2027. Teaching responsibilities will include a combination of undergraduate lecture and labs in the General Biology sequence, non-majors Biology and Society, and potentially other courses within the candidate's expertise.
Qualifications- Earned a doctorate in Biology or a related field.
- Experience teaching undergraduate students in Biology.
- Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating culturally responsive and supportive environments for students from diverse backgrounds.
$76,000 - $78,000
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change
