Professeur.e en Microélectronique

In your role as Professor in Microelectronique, you will be at the heart of our missions in training, research, and innovation assigned to the Centre de Formation et de Recherche CMP located in Gardanne (in the Bouches-du-Rhône, 13). It is one of the five centers of training and research of the School. It includes four research departments including the Flexible Electronics (FEL) department within which the professor position is open.

The FEL department comprises 25 people, including 7 teaching-researchers, 1 engineer, and 15 postdoctoral and doctoral researchers.

The recruited person will need to bring internationally recognized expertise in electronics to strengthen our fundamental and applied research skills in the field of the Internet of Things and human-machine interfaces. They will also need to actively participate in the training of engineers and master students and develop high-level partnership research.

The main expected missions:

On the training aspect:

Design and animate innovative microelectronics teachings adapted to contemporary challenges to train the leaders and engineers of tomorrow within the ISMIN (Specialization in Microelectronique and Informatics) curriculum and in the international Hybrid Electronics track of the Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies Master co-accredited with Aix-Marseille University. The candidate will need to be able to cover a wide spectrum among the teachings in science of materials for microelectronics.

The teachings may also concern other programs: ICM (Civil Mining Engineer) degree, national master's degrees with an international dimension, engineer training under salaried status, doctoral training, and continuing education.

On the research aspect:

Conduct high-impact works on flexible and stretchable electronics, valued by recognized scientific publications, and collaborate with the socio-economic world (industry, services, communities...) for innovative and sustainable solutions. The expected skills cover the aspects of implementation of materials up to the realization of prototypes for nomadic applications (e.g., medical devices/implants).

On the innovation aspect:

Contribute actively to transversal projects, at the crossroads of several disciplines, in a dynamic environment and open to collaborations supported by public and private funds, in France and internationally. Your ability to work in project mode and to make dialogue between teaching, research, and concrete application will be essential to succeed.

What we are looking for

You hold a:

Doctorate in Microelectronique and a Habilitation to Direct Research

And you possess:

Confirmed experience in teaching (second or third cycle).Proven expertise in scientific publication and research valorization.

Mastery of English (C1 level) and ideally, international experience.

Your additional strengths:

The CNU qualification by section 63 (Electrical, electronic, photonic, and systems engineering) will be favorably appreciated.

Collaborations with industry and applied research.

A proven commitment to scientific culture actions.
