The Cross Island YMCA is seeking a Teen Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Youth & Family Director, the Teen Coordinator will lead the management and implementation of all teen programs at the branch. Position responsibilities include assisting the Youth & Family Director with staff management, program development, outreach, recruitment, and key community partnerships, such as local schools. The impact of teen programs will be carefully measured and monitored for continuous improvement.
Teen programs take place during the school year, concurrent with the school day, after school hours, and on Saturday evenings. Teen programs also take place during the summer on Saturday evenings. The Teen Coordinator will supervise all teen travel, including overnight and multi-day trips.
Program Portfolio may include: Y Saturday Night Lights (SNL), Y Scholars, Teens Take the City (TTC), Rowe Scholars, Leaders Club, Teen Center, and any newly developed programs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. A college degree in Education or Social Work is desired.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with teens/youth and planning activities.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities, and comfortable with multicultural youth and adults.
