Reporting to the Executive Director of the Bronx Green Jobs Center ( BGJC ), the Intake and Enrollment Manager facilitates the onboarding and long-term success of trainees entering green economy microcredential programs. The Manager serves as the primary point of contact for prospective participants, evaluating workforce readiness and identifying critical wraparound support needs to ensure program persistence. This role bridges the gap between technical training and essential social services to empower underserved populations, including formerly incarcerated individuals and young adults.
Essential Functions
Conducts comprehensive intake interviews and assessments with prospective trainees to evaluate academic preparedness and workforce readiness for technical training programs.
Coordinates the enrollment and onboarding process for diverse applicant pools across multiple microcredential programs and community partner sites to ensure a seamless administrative experience.
Performs holistic needs assessments to identify specific barriers to persistence, such as housing instability, food insecurity, or educational gaps.
Develops individualized support plans and connects trainees with vital wraparound services, including GED preparation, public benefits enrollment, and trauma-informed care.
Maintains accurate participant records and data integrity within university systems to track service utilization, program completion, and employment outcomes in compliance with FERPA regulations.
Collaborates with community partners and institutional stakeholders to align recruitment strategies with labor market needs and evolving program standards.
Delivers proactive outreach and follow-up to participants, providing ongoing guidance and coaching to support retention and successful transition into the workforce.

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in Social Work ( MSW ) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in social services, enrollment management, or workforce development, preferably working with underserved populations.

In-depth knowledge of community resources and trauma-informed support practices.
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office suites.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
Valid driver’s license.

Maximum Starting Salary
