SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS – LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE OPPORTUNITIES

Liverpool Central School District is seeking New York State certified Special Education Teachers to fill multiple long-term substitute teaching vacancies for the 2026–2027 school year. Some assignments are anticipated to extend through the entire school year.

Job Description: The successful candidates will provide high-quality instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Responsibilities include planning and delivering differentiated instruction, monitoring student progress, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, communicating with families, and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Candidates should demonstrate strong instructional skills, sound classroom management, effective communication, and a commitment to meeting the individual academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students.

Qualifications:

New York State certification in Special Education required.

Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Commitment to student success and inclusive educational practices.
