GENERAL DUTIES Event Preparation
  • Manages Shared Excel and Outlook Calendars on behalf of the team and setting reminders for approaching events
  • Coordinates registration process for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare promotional materials for events
  • Gathers table signage, contact information sheets
Field Marketing
  • Responsible for on-site tabling & event set-up (day-of)
  • Serves as primary BMCC Continuing Ed brand ambassador at BMCC and Partner events
  • Presents program offerings to diverse populations (students, adult learners, industry partners)
Traditional Marketing
  • Creates promotional e-mails in Mailchimp to share with students, alumni, industry professionals per internal department lists and master contact lists
  • Manages Flyer & Social Media Creation using Canva, Photoshop where applicable
  • Manages social media (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Eventbrite) Accounts (Posting, Engaging with followers) where applicable
Public Relations
  • Researches local organizations to parter with and setting up introductory info sessions
  • Connects with Alumni to gather success stories to share across E-mail, social media and initiatives like the college catalog, e-mail newsletters
  • Captures Photography, Videography to showcase event coverage where applicable

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties of assigned tasks.

COMPENSATION:

This is a part-time position of up to 20 hours per week. Evening hours may be needed to carry out normal business operations. Hourly rate is $19.12.

BENEFITS:

CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification. Employees are also offered a pension and a Tax-Deferred Savings plan. Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criterion to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
