Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Early Childhood Educator to join our education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development and be passionate about creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children and their families. This role involves teaching a variety of courses ranging from early childhood literacy and preschool prep to cooking.
The candidate will be tasked with facilitating sessions that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with our Montessori and Reggio Emilia educational philosophies.
- Teaching classes for children ranging from 6 months to 8 years and adjusting lessons for each specific age group as needed.
- Modify existing curriculum as needed to fit the needs of the participants.
- Provide a warm and inspiring environment for all participants, caregivers, and children alike.
- Model open-mindedness, creativity, empathy, and excitement.
- Use play-based learning approaches to engage children in exploration, creativity, and problem-solving.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Ability to create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
Position type: Seasonal Educator position
Payment:
$40-43/hr, with classes offered by semester, consisting of 11 week seasons
