The Learning
Experience of Astoria is searching for a passionate, dependable, and energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our preschool classroom of children ages 2 years and older
. We're looking for someone who can create a classroom where children feel excited to learn, encouraged to explore, and supported every step of the way.

What You'll DoAs our Lead Preschool Teacher, you'll create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that prepare children for future academic success while nurturing their social, emotional, and creative growth.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that make learning exciting.
- Foster children's language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development.
- Create a structured, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with children and their families.
- Lead and mentor your Assistant Teacher while working collaboratively as a team.
- Celebrate every milestone and encourage each child to reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Is reliable, dependable, and takes pride in their work.
- Has a genuine passion for early childhood education.
- Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and fun into the classroom every day.
- Is patient, nurturing, and able to build strong relationships with children and families.
- Is organized and able to manage a busy classroom with confidence.
- Works well with others and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
- Currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program (REQUIRED).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare or childcare center (REQUIRED).
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom leadership skills.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and state compliance requirements.
