Assistant Director of Admissions

Responsibilities

• Advise students, families, and school counselors on admissions policies and procedures
• Conduct school visits and host information sessions
• Attend education fairs to increase visibility of NYU Abu Dhabi
• Cultivate relationships with schools and governmental agencies in assigned regions
• Evaluate and recommend applicants for admission to NYU's campuses
• Contribute to the international credential review process
• Develop and provide guidance to admissions staff on international credentials
• Engage in international and domestic travel, and evening/weekend work as required

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years of university admissions or related experience
• 2+ years experience evaluating international credentials
• Experience recruiting students for a highly selective liberal arts and sciences college
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
• Ability to market NYU independently
• Extensive travel and weekend hours required
• Driver's license required
• Familiarity with online application review technology (Slate)

Demonstrates expertise in university admissions processes, including evaluating international credentials and recruiting students for selective liberal arts and sciences colleges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for advising students and cultivating relationships with schools and agencies.
