Faculty Vacancy Announcement

The Department of English at Kingsborough Community College seeks to hire adjunct faculty (Adjunct Lecturer, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor, Adjunct Professor) to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) courses starting in the fall 2026 semester. Preference is given to applicants who have both strong credentials and teaching experience. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Teach ESL courses in various instructional modalities.
• Conduct research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise.
• Share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

• For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor: earned doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or another appropriate degree; ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities.
• For Adjunct Lecturer: master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or another appropriate degree; ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities.

• Adjunct Lecturer: $116.44 per hour
• Adjunct Assistant Professor: $125.06 per hour
• Adjunct Associate Professor: $133.69 or $134.29 per hour
• Adjunct Professor: $142.31 or $147.94 per hour

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
