Position Details

As part of the Gund Learning and Diagnostics Center team, you will report to the Associate Clinical Director and Director , Gund Learning and Diagnostics Center. You will provide neuropsychological and psychological evaluation services to children, adolescents, and young adults. Your evaluations include gathering and interpreting data from multiple sources (e.g., parents, teachers, children) and using multiple methods (e.g., psychological testing, rating scales, clinical interview, behavioral observation) to answer referral questions.

You will communicate results to parents and educators in person and via a comprehensive written report. Additionally, you will offer services including remediation, organizational skills training and educational consultation. This is an exempt, full-time, hybrid (this position requires a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office, on a schedule determined by your supervisor in our NYC headquarters office.

The in-office requirement and schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the organization.

You Will
  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents and young adults, including the use of personality measures and projectives, autism evaluations (including the use of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R), early childhood developmental evaluations, and evaluations with /DD populations.
  • Provide cognitive remediation, organizational skills training and school consultation for children with learning disorders, ADHD, or other behavior problems.
  • Advocate for children with accommodation requirements in educational and legal settings.
  • Collaborate with our clinical colleagues, including receiving and providing consultation, to support team-based care within our practice.
  • Provide training or clinical supervision to trainees, including psychologists, social workers, and licensed mental health counselors.
  • Conduct workshops, presentations, and webinars on children's mental health topics for community outreach.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation requirements are met.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as needed.
You Have
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology with a focus in neuropsychology from an accredited program.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the State of New York.
  • Completion of a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology.
  • 8+ years of clinical experience.
  • Training in specific assessment tools.
