About the Job

The In‑Person Algebra Math Tutor will focus on supporting students in grades 9–12. The program runs three days per week—Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays—from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

As an Education Champion, you'll provide one‑on‑one and small‑group tutoring in core subjects such as Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep. You'll collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive academically and personally.

Qualifications
  • Passion for Learning:
    Dedicated to supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved students.
  • Strong Academics:
    Degree‑seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
  • Committed and Flexible:
    Available to work 10‑35 hours per week at an assigned school (or virtual program) and participate in monthly training.
  • Collaborative Spirit:
    Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.
