Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Psych Adjunct Assistant Professor PSY 76 1 :
Psycho-educational Assessment Practicum 1

St. John's University Center for Psychological Services seeks a licensed psychologist to provide on-site clinical supervision to doctoral candidates in psychology for three hours per week. The supervisor will review testing protocols and report writing , oversee case documentation, and ensure quality training and client care throughout the semester. Compensation starts at $ 7 , 624 ($1906/credit for a four credit cou r se) for the 15-week semester and is commensurate with experience .

Supervision is expected to continue until all students have completed the minimum number of cases assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Provide group supervision to doctoral trainees on psychological and psycho educational assessment cases, including test selection , administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing
  • Review and co-sign trainee assessment reports /clinical documentation , ensuring clinical accuracy, ethical compliance, and adherence to professional writing standards
  • Conduct live or recorded observation of trainee testing sessions and provide constructive, competency-based feedback
  • Monitor trainee progress toward assessment-related competencies and provide input for formal evaluations
Qualifications
  • Licensure :
    Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in New York state (or license-eligible with licensure required within a specified probationary period), in good standing with the state psychology board
  • Doctoral degree :
    Ph.D. or Psy.

    D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited (or equivalent) doctoral program .
  • Advanced assessment training and experience : P ost-licensure experience administering, scoring, and interpreting a broad range of psychological and psycho educational assessment instruments (e.g., cognitive, personality, neuropsychological, and diagnostic measures), with demonstrated expertise in integrating findings into comprehensive reports
