We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Therapeutic Educator to join our team at Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in Lake Katrine, New York. As a Therapeutic Educator, you will play a vital role in promoting re-acquisition of cognitive, physical, and social skills in a naturalistic setting.

As a Therapeutic Educator, you will be responsible for:

• Teaching and helping to develop a curriculum focused on disability and wellness education, cognitive and social skills development, pre-vocational skills, lifestyle management, and related areas.
• Creating a safe and supportive learning environment for our residents.
• Collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as education, neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, sociology, speech, or theology.
• Compassion, high energy, an outgoing personality with great people skills, creativity, organization, and professionalism.
• Mastery of English. Bi-lingual skills a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• $21.50 - $23 hourly

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation and community re-entry facility, offering specialized care for individuals with Acquired Brain Injury, Neurobehavioral Disorders, Complex Medical Recovery, Ventilator Care, and Ventilator Weaning. Our rural 39-acre campus features shops, a library, music studio, post office, cafe, clubhouse, lounge, art studio, hair salon, gym, and park with walking/jogging path.
