Visiting Assistant Professor

St. Bonaventure University (SBU) is seeking a visiting assistant professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in health science, public health and the Master in Public Health Program. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, position for the 26-27 Academic year. The Visiting Assistant Professor role will be housed in St. Bonaventure University's DePerro School of Health Professions (DSHP). Within this role, the faculty member will teach and manage courses, advise students and participate in school and university activities.

The Visiting Assistant Professor will work with the Director of the Program and other faculty members to effectively deliver course content and contribute to the success of the students within the department. This faculty position requires the candidate to be educated, experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic to take on this exciting role. This position reports to the Program Director and requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.

Responsibilities:

• Update Moodle pages for assigned courses to reflect current semester
• Teach course content based on objectives
• Manage classroom activities
• Assess students on curriculum content
• Advise students for major/career goals
• Participate in department, school and university activities

Requirements:

• Graduate degree in public health, health science, health promotion is required.
• Preferred experience in academia.
• Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
• Competent with online course management systems.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
• Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple courses (4/semester).
