Adult Day Habilitation Program - Long Island
HoursFull-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
DescriptionAssists DSPs with the necessary training to work in a 1 to 1 basis with a participant or with multiple paticipants at a time. Discuss daily with the Group Leader regarding the progress of the programs. Implement and collect data on each participant's goals and behavior management plan in conjunction with the GL and clinical team. Assist participants , as needed during activities of daily living/gym activities.
Lead or assist in various group activities. Aid in development of material. Provide necessary support and consultation to staff. Attend Eden II in-services, training, and staff meetings as required. Assist in the orientation and training of new staff/substitutes.
High School Diploma and must have passed the New York State assessment of teaching assistant skills. RBT or other advanced credential or experience in ABA preferred. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. Knowledge of classroom. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong professionalism and ability to motivate/lead others through guidance and example.
