Locations: Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY

Our client is seeking compassionate and experienced Special Education Teachers to provide individualized academic, literacy, and reading support to students with disabilities and diverse learning needs in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction in reading, literacy, and academic skills
• Support students with IEPs, learning disabilities, and other special education needs
• Deliver targeted reading intervention and literacy instruction
• Reinforce classroom instruction and help students work toward individualized academic goals
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet each student's learning needs
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and other educational professionals
• Monitor and document student progress
• Contribute to educational planning and implementation of appropriate learning strategies
• Create a supportive, structured, and student-centered learning environment

• Master's degree
• Certification in Special Education
• Certification in Literacy
• Certification in Students with Disabilities
• Certification in Reading
• Experience working with students with disabilities and/or in special education settings
• Strong background in literacy development, reading instruction, and academic intervention
• Ability to implement effective learning and instructional strategies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of an educational team
• Patience, empathy, and a student-centered approach
