School for Business Description School for Business is one of the three schools at MCNY overseeing the MS in Project Management program and the course sections within the program. The selected adjunct professor will be serving under the School for Business in collaboration with other college wide internal stakeholders.
This is a part-time position for an Adjunct Professor at MCNY, based in the New York City Metropolitan area (Bronx) for on campus, in-person teaching in the evening from Monday through Thursdays. The Adjunct Professor(s) will be responsible for teaching project management courses within MS in Project Management program.

- The Adjunct Professor will also be responsible, under the guidance and supervision of the Associate Dean, School for Business, for updating syllabus, updating the LMS (Moodle course shell) course contents and updating course materials preferably with Open Education Resources (OER).Student Support
- Allocate regular office hours and provide academic support to ensure student success.
Engagement
- Foster active learning in a face-to-face setting.
Administration
- Timely student feedback, grading assignments, tests, discussion forums, timely submitting final grades and attendance records, and participate in School for Business assessment activities including CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement).
Required Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management; however, candidates with doctoral degree and PMI project management certification(s) and relevant project management experience in similar fields of expertise will be preferred.
Experience:
Previous college-level teaching in project management and practical project managing experience is required; experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and pedagogical skills.
Other Qualifications Expertise in a relevant field, as demonstrated by advanced degrees, publications, or work experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators
Experience with online teaching and learning management system (LMS) platforms is desirableA commitment to social justice and equity, as evidenced by previous teaching or volunteer work in the community, is desirable
