String Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate String Teacher for our retail store. In this role, you'll provide private and group lessons for violin, viola, cello, and bass students of all ages, using structured curricula and clear learning objectives. You'll assess skill levels, design individualized lesson plans, prepare students for concerts, auditions, and festivals, and communicate progress with parents and school directors.

You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and accessories, help grow the lesson studio, and promote a welcoming, student-focused, community-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver private and group string lessons to students of varying ages and levels
• Create individualized lesson plans and measurable learning goals
• Teach technique, music reading, theory, and musicality for string instruments
• Prepare students for performances, auditions, and festivals
• Assess student progress and provide clear feedback
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school directors
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and accessories needs
• Support studio growth through student retention and referrals
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Participate in recitals, events, and community outreach as needed
