The Tutorverse is seeking to engage an experienced ISEE/SHSAT Tutor (In-person) in the NYC area to help our students achieve!

Test Prep

Experience:

Applicants must have extensive experience in helping students prepare for ISEE and/or SHSAT specifically.

Applicants must be available to travel to students for in-person instruction within NYC, but primarily in Manhattan.

• Flexible schedule:
  Work as many hours as you want! You are welcome to contract for as many or as few engagements as you’d like.
• In-person hourly rate of $90:
  We appreciate the experience that you bring to the role, and we compensate you as such!
• No micromanagement:
  You’re experienced and knowledgeable, so teach your content, your way!
• Help with the boring stuff:
  We find the clients, help with scheduling, and enforce our cancellation policy all so you can focus on what you love to do - teach.

We’re searching high and low for a reliable, organized, and experienced ISEE Test Prep Expert who is passionate and approachable.

Dynamic and Engaging:
You should be able to hold your own in front of students and deliver content in a dynamic and engaging manner.

Experienced and has a Bachelor's Degree:
We make a promise to our families that our instructors are truly experts in their respective fields, so we ask that you have a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university, as well as five years of postgraduate teaching experience.

• You have experience with other entrance exams, like the SSAT, SHSAT, ACT/SAT, and HSPT/TACHS.
• You have experience helping students with their academic studies as well!

• Math:
  Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC
• ELA:
  Common Core State Exams, general reading comprehension, essay writing, AP Language, AP Literature
• Science: AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics

This is a contract-based, 1099 position. You will have flexibility and control over your schedule. You will not be eligible for any employee-based benefits such as PTO or health benefits.
