AMDA College of the Performing Arts is seeking dependable and motivated students to assist the Dance Department by providing extra in-class support for students.
Position OverviewThe Student Dance Instructional Assistant supports AMDA dance faculty by serving as an assistant, collaborator, and aide to AMDA students within dance courses.
Key Responsibilities- Support AMDA students within dance classes by attending all class meetings with them
- Collaborating with AMDA instructors and students to identify adaptive movements and blocking
- Partnering with students during partnered and/or group activities
- Currently enrolled AMDA student for the Fall 2026 semester (employment is open to 2nd–6th semester students)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Reliability and ability to show up punctually and consistently
- Prior dance experience
- Responsiveness to staff direction
- Experience in supportive roles - helping others succeed and achieve their goals
- Must be enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester
- Work schedules will mainly be during daytime hours, but may sometimes include evenings and/or weekends
- Student Worker positions are hired on a semester-to-semester basis and continued employment is not guaranteed beyond the current term
