Role Description The Teacher role is an on-site position located within the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering daily lessons aligned with curriculum standards, assessing student progress, and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Duties include managing the classroom environment, providing individualized support, maintaining accurate records of student performance, and communicating regularly with families and school staff.

The Teacher collaborates with colleagues, participates in professional development, and contributes to school-wide initiatives that enhance student outcomes and a positive school culture.

Qualifications

  • Ability to design and implement effective lesson planning and instructional strategies
  • Strong foundation in education theory and best practices for primary/secondary learners
  • Demonstrated teaching skills, including classroom management and student engagement
  • Experience in training, mentoring, or supporting learners in varied instructional settings
  • Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues
  • Relevant teaching certification or licensure for primary/secondary education
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field
  • Ability to work collaboratively, maintain organized records, and use basic educational technology
