We partner with private schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn to offer engaging after school enrichment classes in dance, visual arts, performing arts, STEM, sports, and more.

We are currently looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and creative Assistant
Teachers to support after school enrichment classes for elementary-aged students during the 2026–2027 school year. We have assistant teaching jobs available Mondays through Fridays, between 3:00-5:00pm at different schools across the city and Brooklyn. Pay is $45-$55 per class, depending on class length (45-90min).

This is a freelance, part-time, in-person position ideal for performers, artists, educators, and other creative professionals looking for consistent afternoon work with flexible scheduling.

Assistant Teachers play an important role in helping create a positive, fun, and well-managed classroom environment. You will work alongside a Lead Teacher to support students, assist with classroom management, help facilitate activities, and ensure classes run smoothly from arrival through dismissal.

While you do not need to be an expert in the specific subject being taught, we are looking for people who enjoy working with children, are proactive and dependable, and are excited to help students have a great after school experience.

• Support the Lead Teacher during after school classes
• Help manage student behavior and maintain a positive classroom environment
• Assist with student arrival, transitions, and dismissal procedures
• Help facilitate class activities and provide support to students as needed
• Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and preparation
• Communicate regularly with the Hey Curated programming team
• Foster a positive, inclusive, safe, and supportive environment for all students
• Serve as a friendly and professional representative of Hey Curated when interacting with students, families, teachers, and school administrators
