The Department of Mathematics of Baruch College – CUNY invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track position at full professor rank beginning on or about August 26, 2027. (Immediate tenure eligible only for candidates currently holding tenure at another institution of higher education in the US.) The department is seeking a candidate with at least ten years of experience in the financial sector, a strong publication record in top journals, as well as significant graduate-level teaching experience in financial engineering.
The candidate must have a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field and a scholarly record suitable for full professor rank.
The department offers a world-renowned masters degree in financial engineering. At the undergraduate level, the department offer majors in financial mathematics, mathematics, actuarial science, and computer science as well as providing general education mathematics courses.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field. At least ten years of experience in the financial sector, a strong publication record in top journals, as well as significant graduate-level teaching experience in financial engineering.
COMPENSATION
$136,040- $160,827; commensurate with education and experience
