Special Education Teacher

Salary: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00 Annually

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Elementary or Middle School Special Education Teachers to join our dynamic educational team. In this role, you will work in an ICT setting to design and implement individualized instruction plans that meet the unique needs of students with special needs. Your energetic approach will foster a positive learning environment, promote student growth, and support their social-emotional development.

You will collaborate closely with families, therapists, and other educators to ensure compliance with educational laws and regulations while delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire confidence and achievement in every student.

• Work with the Gen Ed teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Educate students using a variety of instructional techniques and resources, including technology, to enhance learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and challenges.
• Create a positive learning environment through effective classroom management strategies.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for each student’s educational journey.

• Master’s degree in Special Education preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques that promote a safe and productive learning environment.

• NYS Teaching Certification (Preferred)
• Degree in Special Education
