- Drive high-level institutional alignment, technology and assessment strategy, and systemic coordination for academic advising across the university ecosystem
- Steward and evolve the NYU Advising Framework's core mission, vision, values, and competencies
- Facilitate cross-school coordination to implement innovative and effective shared advising practices
- Serve as a key institutional liaison for advising technology strategy
- Represent advising practices with external vendor partners
- Collaborate with internal NYU partners
- Guide standardized practices and training for advisors
- Foster a data-informed culture of continuous improvement through shared assessment practices and metrics
- Guide the University's advising assessment strategy
- Manage the composition of advising data and further develop the advising dataset in partnership with the Advising Assessment Community of Practice
- Facilitate cross-school collaboration with advising boards, academic advising leadership, accelerated advising, and academic coaching partnerships
- Build consensus to cultivate proactive, holistic, and unified advising practices supporting student flourishing, retention, and graduation goals
- Master's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in providing academic support services for students at the college or university level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience including advising or academic services operations
- Technical skills in advising software
- Experience with data assessment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency using data dashboards and spreadsheets
- Proficiency utilizing collaborative technologies
- Experience implementing new technologies to streamline administrative processes
- Ability to oversee assessment cycles and analyze data to enhance practice
- Preferred:
Experience using Google apps for education, People Soft, Starfish, and Stellic - Preferred:
Proven success with assessment initiatives - Preferred:
General knowledge of student services, academic advising, and large technology implementation
Demonstrates expertise in academic advising strategy, data assessment, and technology implementation to enhance student support services. Proven ability to foster collaboration across departments and manage advising practices that promote student retention and success.
