The BMCC Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning compiles, maintains, and provides analyses of institutional and other data to support the operational, decision-making, and planning functions of the College. The Director works with the AVP of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning to provide information that is accurate, meaningful, and useful to meet the needs of both internal and external constituencies;

support assessment activities and promote the use of results for quality enhancement; and explain and interpret information important for making recommendations to decision-makers. The Director of Institutional Research and Data Science reports to the AVP of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning.

• Ensure all federal, state, and other external reporting requirements are submitted or responded to accurately and in a timely manner.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of Institutional Research team including budget development and administration, supervision and evaluation of direct reports
