Brief Job Description
Southtowns Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled general education teacher for a combined Grade3 and 4 classroom.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction in alignment with NYS curriculum standards and guidelines
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborate with faculty and administration
- Support the Catholic identity, mission, and core values of Southtowns Catholic School
- Participate in school activities, professional development, and other responsibilities appropriate to the position
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Current NYS certification ( or working toward)
- Previous teaching experience is a plus
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to supporting the mission and Catholic identity of the school
- Organization
- Effective classroom management
- Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Commitment to professional development
$29,000-$32,000 depending on credentials and experience
