AMG Medical Institute is seeking a qualified Microbiology Instructor to teach microbiology courses to students enrolled in the nursing program. The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in microbiology and related concepts, supporting student learning, evaluating academic performance, and helping students develop a strong foundation in microbiological principles relevant to nursing and healthcare.
Essential Responsibilities- Teach assigned Microbiology courses in accordance with the approved curriculum and syllabus.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and other instructional activities.
- Teach fundamental microbiology concepts, including microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, infection, immunity, and disease processes.
- Connect microbiology concepts to nursing practice, infection prevention, patient safety, and healthcare applications.
- Prepare and administer quizzes, examinations, assignments, and other approved assessments.
- Grade student work accurately and submit grades within established timelines.
- Monitor student attendance, academic performance, and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Identify students experiencing academic difficulties and communicate concerns to the appropriate academic administrator.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required academic records.
- Follow the approved syllabus, course objectives, assessment requirements, and grading standards.
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional learning environment.
- Protect the confidentiality of student academic and personal information.
- Participate in faculty meetings, evaluations, training, and professional development activities as required.
- Follow all AMG Medical Institute policies, procedures, and academic requirements.
- Perform other instructional duties as assigned.
