Position Title Assistant Teaching Professor, Economics (Non-Tenure-Track)
The Department of Economics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, seeks to fill one Assistant Teaching Professor (Non-Tenure-Track) position for an economist committed to achieving excellence in instruction.
The position requires teaching 3 undergraduate courses each semester, including large-enrollment introductory courses, and some departmental service. We are seeking candidates committed to developing careers in economics education.
This is a full-time, non-tenure-track qualified rank faculty position (10-month obligation) ideally beginning with UB’s spring 2027 semester, though fall 2027 start is possible. The initial appointment will be for 3 years, with renewable 1-year terms.

Minimum Qualifications- PhD in Economics in hand at the time of initial appointment
- Teaching experience in a higher education setting
- Experience leading experiential learning programs in higher education settings
- Experience teaching introductory and large-enrollment courses
This position will never drive a university owned vehicle.
