The Department of Business and Economics at York College/CUNY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Information Systems and Business anticipated to begin Fall 2027.

York College is located in Queens, one of the five boroughs of New York City and one of the most ethnically diverse counties in the nation. It is a senior college within The City University of New York and is situated on a 50-acre campus in the heart of the Downtown Jamaica section of the borough.

The Department of Business and Economics seeks a dynamic scholar and educator with expertise in Information Systems and the ability to contribute broadly to the Department’s undergraduate business curriculum. The successful candidate will teach courses in Information Systems and related technology-focused business disciplines, as well as contribute to other business and economics offerings based on departmental needs.

Teaching assignments may include courses in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, AI, Business Analytics, Digital Transformation, Enterprise Systems, Business Technology, and other subject areas in the department such as International Business, Management, Operations Management depending on the candidate’s expertise and departmental requirements.

Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and weekend courses.

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate effectiveness in teaching Information Systems and other assigned courses.

• Develop and deliver courses that integrate current technologies, industry practices, analytical approaches, and emerging trends in business.
