Tiger Kids Club High School Aides

Delano Community Education has openings for high school aides for our school year Tiger Kids Club program.

Program Information

Tiger Kids Club's goal is to create a stimulating and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to pursue their own interests, grow in independence, develop friendships, and again an appreciation for their community and environment. We believe children learn best through play and self-exploration of their environment. We encourage this belief through our curriculum, daily activities, and interactions with our children.

Schedule/Location
  • 2-3 hours per day, Monday-Friday (days can vary), during our school year session per day dependent on enrollment.
  • Position located at the Delano Community Education Center, 140 Elm Ave E, Delano, MN.
  • This position is for our school year session, which runs through June
    3. This position begins as soon as possible. This position has the potential to continue into our summer session.
Responsibilities
  • Take direction from the program lead directly supervising at given time
  • Assist program leads in classroom preparation and room cleaning
  • Play, be active, engage with all children in our program, as it aligns to our program mission
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and/or trainings
  • Have strong communication skills with families and colleagues
  • Have strong relationship building skills with preschool and/or school age children
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by program leads, site supervisor, or program coordinator
Qualifications
  • 14+ years of age
  • Self-directed, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about children and providing quality learning experiences
