Ethics & Community Service Learning Teacher – Leave Replacement

• Teach 16 class periods per week of Ethics, likely working with Middle and Upper School students
• Collaborate with colleagues by sharing resources and communicating about curriculum and students
• Prepare for and communicate details about student performance and growth with parents and/or guardians at scheduled conferences
• Address student behavioral issues and classroom challenges to maintain a safe, calm environment
• Maintain accurate student records, including grades and attendance
• Encourage students and support their social and emotional growth
• Ensure confidentiality of student information
• Attend departmental, divisional, and school-wide meetings
• Maintain compliance with school policies, state regulations, and educational standards
• Perform other related projects and duties as needed and assigned

• A Bachelor's degree in fields related to Ethics, Leadership or Health & Wellness
• Prior experience in working with students from grades 6 to 12 is preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills
• A positive attitude and the ability to listen effectively and be receptive to feedback
• The ability to manage time effectively, stay organized, and prioritize required tasks
• A commitment to engaging in ongoing professional development and proficiency in utilizing and learning new technologies (i.e., Google Workspace tools)
• Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
• The ability to cultivate a welcoming culture in which all members of our community feel valued and appreciated
• Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with faculty, administrators, students, parents, and the overall community

Demonstrates expertise in teaching Ethics to Middle and Upper School students while fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Proficient in maintaining student records, communicating effectively with parents, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance educational outcomes.
